Do you mean it keeps running or is diesels? Dieseling is usually caused by to much advance in your timing or a rich idle mixture.

Tito- Welcome to the site and to the world of slant six ownership. I hate being a tight-ass, but I would encourage you to use capitalization, punctuation, proper grammar, and correct spelling in your posts. Doing so makes your posts much easier to understand and will lead to a greater chance of someone posting an answer.

With regards to the problems with your Duster, run-on can be caused by a large number of issues, sometimes more than one at the same time.

I would start by purchasing the factory service manual for you vehicle and by doing a complete and thorough tune-up. Use the search function on this website to find sources for service manuals and recommendations for tune-up parts and procedures.

Welcome aboard tito13trooper,

I have to agree with Barrister Reed, a well written post will be helpful to both you & someone trying to guide your hands from half way around the world to fix your car.

I to suffer from a real bad case of crappy spelling, it has been going on now for over fifty years, but thanks to Microsoft Word, spell check, and copy & paste, most of my miscellaneous ramblings can now understood… Well perhaps 75% of them anyway, I do tend to mumble at times.

As 70valiant said, could be rich idle mixture adjustment, too much timing, also too high idle speed, or perhaps a carbon build-up in the combustion chamber from engine not running properly for a long time. Hard to tell why it runs on until you do a little investigation, and a perhaps a few tests.

On this page “Engineâ€￾, at the top, there is a “Stickyâ€￾ titled; “Frequently Asked Questionsâ€￾ it is full of information, on tune-ups, method of valve adjustment, and a lot of other interesting subjects. Until you can get your copy of a factory manual, these “stickiesâ€￾ will be a great help for you. Also on the home page there is a button titled “Articlesâ€￾, also packed full of great topics just waiting for your viewing pleasure.

Agree.
Sometimes just having the idle speed set too high can cause dieseling.
