Post subject:  Where to buy steering column coupling/bushing?

Hi

Can anyone tell me what is this thing called (arrowed in the picture below)?

Im trying to order one as the one in there has seen better days. I dont even know where to start searching as i dont know what its called!

That is a different coupler from what the left hand drive USA cars use. It looks to be just a doughnut made reinforced rubber, and bolted to each side of the connection.

Years ago I made one of these couplers from an old tire for a friend’s 1937 Rolls Royce’s water pump drive. The hardest part was cutting it out.
