I was going to search their website for the clutch disc & PP that we used in Ryan's Dart, but can't seem to locate their homepage. Anyone got a website, or know if their catalog is online. I know that they have changed hands a couple times, but I think Red is back at the helm. My issue is that we had our new flywheel drilled for 2 patterns. One is the stock slant and the other was for some sort of Shelby I think. However I am not sure what year or engine size it was for. It has worked very well and I just want to know what it was for when it is time to replace it. I do have Part #'s, but without a catalog I am kind of lost.

McLeod doesn't make anything that fits our cars any more. The story they gave me was that the parts suppliers for the clutch components quit making the smaller stuff. I think you'd be best of to find a good clutch and brake rebuilder and have your cover and disc rebuilt. Do you still have a Borg and Beck cover?

Josh the PP is a diaphragm unit and it was was from some other car, not a slant. That is why we had the flywheel drilled for both patterns. I spoke to Red on the phone back then and he told me this setup should be good for at least 400HP. It is only a 9 1/2" disc but it has made quite a few dragstrip passes on slicks and has worked flawlessly.

Even if they aren't making anything anymore, I really need to find out what car the PP was for. Then I can shop around anywhere.

Anyone have an old catalog?

Some internet crawling on "other brand" boards, noted the latest use of the McCleod PP - Part #360131 was listed for 05-07 Ford Mustang GT's...
So it probably also fits other Ford applications that use this cover as well.
They list the clutch set up (dual friction disc and pressure plate as able to handle 800HP...)

One of my local auto parts stores has this listed in their catalog as being
a 9 11/16" PP, for AMC....

Thanks DI. I think the PP was 9 11/16, and the disc may have been 9 1/2? I'll have to look at my notes. I will try and run down some more info on the Mustang lead.

I found the setup you were mentioning that uses my PP. It is listed for 800HP but that is in dual disc configuration. At least it looks like they still make it so that is good.

www.mcleodracing.com is their web site. I did search for both of my part numbers and found neither. I am going to call them and see what is going on.

Ok, I called McLeod today and left a message for them to call me back. Billy did call me back within 2 hrs.

The Pressure Plate that we are using is Part#360131 It is still available and McLeod is using it for some of their dual disc setups. Cost $243
Oh Yeah, He said this PP was originally for a Pontiac Fiero. 9 11/16" diameter and 1.5" finger height


Clutch Disc we have Part# 260804 is no longer available. He said they would be glad to rebuild ours if we wanted.

He said they do have a clutch disc in the dual performance that is 9 11/16 diameter. When I asked if they had that in a Mopar spline 1" X 23, he said they can put any spline on it we want. He said the part number for the disc is 260527. Price is $241. When I asked what this disc is for. He said it is not specifically listed for anything?

Is that Fiero PP same as the Mopar bolt pattern? I think not, IIRC...

That is not the same pattern. This is what Red recommended when I talked to him. I just did not write down what it was for at the time. Once Billy told me that it was for a Fiero it jogged my memory a little.

It would really be nice if someone would make a PP that worked as well as this one , that was SFI rated, that would bolt up to our Slant six pattern. I think there is probably more market than they think.

I believe that was the idea behind the Specclutch PP's/discs. I guess they have not been as HD as claimed.
