Okay, so I had my tires balanced today. And while the ride IS smoother, I still get these strange steering wheel jitters when I'm accelerating to highway speeds. They start right around 45-50 mph and eventually the steering stabilizes around 55-60mph . My next step is to get a proper alignment.
I've been doing a lot of reading around the web about alignment options of classic Mopars. I found the following article really interesting: Turn of the screw: front end alignment for performance on classic Mopars
Especially interesting is where they mention that original specs call for negative caster on manual steering cars, something which they say will contribute to road wander and instability. I'm wondering now if perhaps my car was recently aligned to factory specs before I bought it.

Before I do anything with my car, I like to gather opinions on this forum. So I ask, can anyone make any recommendations for me? Do you find the info on the chart above to be best? Should I go with the TYPICAL PERFORMANCE STREET specs? I want to present the alignment shop with my own specs and keep them away from their database specs. I also don't care if my car is harder to steer, I just want it to handle as best as it possibly can, especially at highway speeds. This car is hopefully going to get me safely through a New England winter.
