Hi all Appreciate your advice... Was wondering should I order ready-made top from the US like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 2316wt_880 and ask the local shop to fix that to the railing Or Just go to local upholstery shop and ask them to sample from the one on the car? Since they will be doing the seats and doorcards, might as well as them to do the top too. But at US229 its not that bad. Of coz need to pay for shipping +tax... What do you think? Syed Malaysia |

Syed, There are many convertible top venders in the US that cut from original patterns. Unless your local upholstery shop has low hourly shop rates, I would get a top from the states. Be sure to order new padding, tack strips, and cables for the top as well. While you have your car striped down, inspect the gutter that funnels water away from the base of the convertible top for rust perforations. Be sure that it is has no leaks, and any rust is coated first with POR-15 or equivalent before finish coat is applied to prevent future rust out. Bill |
