idles fine, but when I hit the gas it chokes, bogs and stalls unless I floor it but then it is slow. Was running fine until I didnt drive it a couple of weeks ago. Im gonna pickup a new fuel filter, any other suggestions? I've seen similar issues where it was the fuel pump but it seems like something is clogged.

It could be a bad accelerator pump.

How long has it been since the carburetor was rebuilt?

Not sure when/if its been rebuilt, I've had it just over 2 years. was running and idling fine until recently.

Could be the gas evaporated out of the carb causing the accelerator pump cup to shrink, leading to a loss of pumping ability.

Check for any vaccum leaks or loose/deteriorated hoses.

As for the carb...it's not terribly difficult to take it apart to the extent that you can check the condition of the accelerator pump, however a quicker, but less accurate check is the remove the air filter, and look down the throat of the carb as you manually work on the throttle. If you see a nice, steady stream of gas shooting into the carburetor, then chances are the accelerator pump is ok.

The issue was a stuck choke plate. I started it and the same thing wouldnt idle, it would stall. Opened the air filter and made sure that the carb was squirting gas fine, I had to open the choke plate to check, once i started it again it was running fine.

Thank you all...Have a great weekend.
