I am still running the Weber 36DCNVH 2bbl carb on an adapter on my Offenhauser intake. While replacing the gaskets today to fix the vacuum leak, one of the nuts holding the adapter to the intake kept turning, and turning, and turning... Know where this is going? The one stud that had previously stripped out, which I put a helicoil in, did it again. Arrgghhh...
I happen to have a Clifford intake in my garage, which should work just fine with my modified exhaust manifold. I don't know, it seems like my Offy intake never sealed as good as it should have. Oh well.
At least the weather here is cooler! :D

I have to admit, with all the talk that has gone on here about using a small 4bbl carb on a slant, the twisted part of my brain is trying to convince me I should go that route.
Honestly, if I had an extra $300 to $400 bucks laying around, I just might. But for now it'll be a 2bbl carb.
