I am new to the vintage mopar world, and I have a 66 Dart with the slant six. I do know it came in 2 variations, I beleive the 170 and the 225. Is there any way to determine which motor I have in this car. Also I have a 373 which needs a rebuild, but I am debating wether to spend the cash and rebuild the 373 or put a little money in the six, but supercharge it. Knowing which motor I have will help make this decision. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You wont be able to put the 383 into your Dart..............

If you search this site you will find info on IDing your/6.

383 can be installed, but in my opinion, it is not worth the effort. Too big, too heavy, too many problems to install.
273 can be installed, a lot easier, as this was a factory option.
I vote to keep the slant.

To answer your question the little small hose below the front of the head is easiest to look at. 3 inches long its a 225 about 1 inch long its a 170.
