Often my horn goes off when I use the signal light and sometimes when I turn the wheel. It is a 1965 Plymouth Valiant |

Any chance you have a replacement turn signal switch in the column? Both my and my brother's 83 Dodge vans do this and we both have replacement turn signal switches. |

One of my steering wheels was doing this.It turned out to be the packing between the horn contact ring and the steering wheel (as per photo) had deteriorated over time causing it sound when turning the wheel or indicating.I dont know if you have this sort of contact on the bottom of your steering wheel.

Thanks for the suggestions. I checked the packing ring and it looks fine but I will look into the replacement switch and see what is up with that. |
