After reading numerous post about changing front brakes over to disc brakes on a 64 Barracuda I still have a few questions. I've changed my 65 valiant over using parts from a 74 and am running 14" on the front and 13" on the back. I would like to change my 64 valiant and 64 Barracuda over to front disc brakes but would like to keep the 13" sbp on the front. It appears that the Kelsey Hayes will not work without changing over to the 14". So I guess my question is what is my best (or only) option for changing over to front disc brakes on the 64's and keeping the 13" sbp?

I think your out of luck unless you do some sort of 1 off brakes. Everything I know of converts to 14's. I have KH on all my early A's.

I know some 13" sbp wheels will not clear the 10" brake drums-- FYI
you might try scar-bird? conversion ---

Sorry for asking :? , but why in the world would you want to keep the 13" wheels? I know, original look...

However, the best performance upgrade, period, I can think of on an early A-body is to go to 15" rims and lower profile and wider tires. You will have safer braking, handling, acceleration...

My 2 cents...

Lou
