I want to suggest that we consider adding a new section to the site. There is, and has been for a long time more & more interest in Turbocharging, and to a lesser degree Supercharging the Slant 6. I would like to see a new section where all those posts could go. It could be the "Power Adder" section. Turbo, Supercharge, and Nitrous questions could all be found in one place. I remember back when we added the Fuel injection section, and I think that was a good idea. The engine section is a huge section and this would put most of the "go fast" posts in one place So that is one man's opinion. I am also fine to leave well enough alone! :D

I think that is a good idea. However, it would be a huge task to import all the old posts to a new section. It would have to be a fresh start.
I just spoke to Chuck, about that, and he agreed. So look for it in the near future.

Wouldn't it be easier/cheaper to drop in a V8? ..or, is that not the point :)

Someone in the Porsche hierarchy said..and I am summarizing..you cannot turn a pig into a Thoroughbred horse but you can make a really fast pig..

I like the Porsche quote. Ask Dennis about fast flyin' piggies...

We love our slants. Might be easier to drop in a V8, but not as much fun! I have a Barracuda with a V8, and it is a lot harder to work on. Took me 45 minutes to change the starter, and I had to remove the pitman arm. I can change a slant starter in 5 minutes (no, I am not exaggerating, I timed it).

I also agree that a new section for turbo, supercharger, nitrous, etc., is a good idea.

Way back in 1993, and I apologize if ya'll have heard this before, I bought a 1978 Volare 2-door coupe with plans to drop in a 318 or 360 like a Volare RR or Aspen R/T. In addition to working and going to school, the 225 slant six won me over. It's the same slant that's under the hood today.

This is a slant six site (obviously), but to each his own.
