Post subject:  Fuel Temp and Oil Guages Dont Work
Hi, I have a problem with my guages which seems kinda common but I am just wondering if the problem could be something other than the guage voltage regulator, before the guages went out the positve cable on the back of the guages was getting really hot what could the problem be?

Have you checked the 5V output from the voltage limiter ?

There could be a shortage so it cranks out 12V and that will kill the gauges.

Check the voltage between ground and temperature sending unit to see if there is anything.

The only thing common to temp and fuel gauge is the voltage limiter so it is a good candidate to check.

Thanks :) I'll have to check that out, i need to buy a voltmeter first tho haha So once i test it, if it shows anything higher than 5v its most likely the limiter then right?
