Hey Guys I got a question for you, I just picked up at 86 W150 that I will be putting my slant in. I plan making it into a D150, but I picked it up in several pieces, and realized that I do not have the rubber cab mounts, and the the metal mounting brackets are almost all rusted out. I plan on making some custom metal brackets, but I am having trouble finding the rubber bushings, the only ones I can find are in body lift kits. Do you guys have any resources that you would suggest finding these parts? If they are not specifically for this truck, I might be able to modify the bracket to fit. I have asked the locals up here and they say to use Hockey Pucks, but I am looking for a safer, and more professional way to accomplish this. I'm not really looking for a body lift either. Not too many years ago, my dealer had most of them on his shelf. He only had to order the radiator support mounts, and they were available in the nearest Mopar warehouse. There are lots of aftermarket sources for generic pads that should work fine. |
