Kind of odd, a guy up in north of me put an add on Craigslist for a Clifford Aluminum Slant Six Valve cover... I know the production run was very limited on these and a few pictures show the 45-4018 cover...for the last decade I know they have been slowly selling their last run of the chrome covers 45-4075 (without baffles...).

Anyone actually handle one of the cast aluminum covers/do they really exist?

I have seen 1. It may be the one from CL. I thought of buying it and thought since Aussie Speed will have one why not wait.

I have one, modified by a racer for use on an 80s head. I'll try to dig it out, but can't promise I'll have time to post pics...

The Clifford cast aluminum cover is an Offenhauser with Clifford's name in it. I have one in my shop right now.

They were originally sold with a black wrinkle finish. I thought those looked really nice. The one I have has been polished.

I know the guy that's looking for the valve cover. He's got a '28 Plymouth that was converted to a pickup most likely during WWII as pickups had a higher gas ration. I've been throwing him as much info as I can, but didn't get to meet him until he'd dropped a chunk of change with Larry at Clifford.

Fopar sent me a picture of the black Krinkle finish one.
I have one of the chrome covers in a box in my garage, funny how Clifford's instructions in the box are for an Aluminum Cover...

Hope the guy finds one, asked him to join our board, he'd get better coverage and more people looking for one. I know it will be tough
in Oregon for that kind of market...but then strange stuff does show
up here, sometimes (must be the weather).

Thanks!

I'd like to have one of these someday, but right now I have too many other things I need to get done. These are heavier than the stock ones, so I'll put one on a street car someday... :D

1962 Valiant 360... welcome!

Try reposting your request in the "Parts Wanted" section, you'll have more luck there, I think!
