Post subject:  1974 Dodge Dart 2 Door

I have a 1974 Dodge Dart Sublime Green, 225, bucket seats out of a challenger, grant steering wheel. The original color is tan... I bought this car after working the entire summer between sophomore and junior year, I am now a senior in highschool. I got the car in Marquam for $900 and have invested a lot more into it. I have not done anything aftermarket to the motor besides a glasspack on the exhaust system (thrush 24"). And I'm hoping to get her running today :D

I will try and get some new pictures up today.

Welcome to the site! Car is looking great and it looks like you've been working hard on it. Best of luck on lighting the fire!! There are quite a lot of Slant 6 enthusiasts in OR and WA, many of them who are on this site often.

Cheers,

Lou

Looks REALLY green. Looks sharp. Like Kermit the Frog says, "It's not easy being green..."

Got my front window clips from year one yesterday and spent part of today putting them in and putting the front windshield rubber in place, it was too cold today to put the windshield in today. My highschool's autoshop is heated though :D

Got my windshield in yesterday, fighting with the rubber, glass, grease and a rope was not fun, but after a hour and a half I got it in :D I got the car to start today. Its idling a bit high, just have to play with the carb. My battery is defective though, it won't hold any kind of charge, after shutting off my engine nothing electrical worked :( so I'm going to take the battery back from where it came and get it replaced.

Recent picture of the car, just before I started putting the windshield in:

Post subject:  Year update

Well, its been about a year since I updated on this thread on my dart, so I'll give an update, been daily driving it and put about 10k on this year driving it. The odometer is about to roll over to 0 again. Ceej, Richard and mike helped me do a top end rebuild (head shave (8.3:1), regrind and lap valves, head gasket, valve stem seals) We adjusted the bands on the transmission too and did fluid and filter. I got a new 2.25" exhaust out the side through camby muffler. It has carpet now and the interior is almost where I want it for now. Its got a radio and stuff in it now and everyone loves the car, and everyone knows who I am. My girlfriend's parents and her friend's parents hate the car though because it means I'm nothing but "trouble", but she loves the car. The cops in this town enjoy pulling me over just to chat with me  30 cops for a town of 9000. I'm not going to go into detail of everything I've done, but I think I hit the basics, if there is anything else I've done I'll add it on the next post. I re bushed the control arms on the passenger side after it started eating tires:

(Jack isn't supporting the vehicle in the picture like how it looks)
Also, what size drums are these? I have the baby drums on the back, but I have these on the front, are they standard equipment?

I touched up the motor sloppily one day because I got bored and besides hitting stuff other than the block it looks better in my opinion then the rusty blue, green, and yellow it was before:

Sorry for so many pictures but I like to show off my car :)

Thanks everyone in the slanted community, you guys are great and a great help.

I'll get some pictures up of the interior and other parts of the car tomorrow when I have some free time.
