I've been at this slant six thing now for almost a year and need to get some things straight about the variations that the slants went through in the mid 70s.

When did the slants go to hydraulic lifters? Was it at a different time with the car slants vs the trucks?

Were the 76 models the first to have the electronic ignitions?

I have a few more things I need to get straight, but we'll start with these.

Electronic ignition would be 1974 IIRC.

Mopar EI started in slants on the 1973 Model year (1972 should be /6-points, V-8 gets EI first...)-I've noticed that I've gotten the same part number on OEM dizzy cores from both 1973 and 1974 automatic 225 /6 donors.

1976 is a split year for cranks-First year cast crank, last year forged crank...

1981 is the year for juice lifters...

Wife's '72 Duster had electronic ignition, but I believe it was an option. At Duster Idiot pointed out is was standard issue for '73.
