Does anyone know if the fuel fill tube neck is the same size on a 65 Valiant and a 71 Dart? I only want to use the end to mount my gas cap to. I have a fuel cell in the trunk so I won't be using the fill tube part. I don't want to cut up my original one.

I found one on E-Bay close enough to go pick it up, but didn't know if the ends were the same.

Thanks.

Rick

Hi Rick, The 65 cap hole in the filler tube is a tad bit smaller than the 71.
IE the cap from the 71 won't fit. Just did a 64 Barracuda for a guy that wanted a locking cap. He got a cap for the 67 up car and it didn't fit. We had a extra 64 fill tube and massaged the opening for the cap to fit.
Hope this helps.....

Yes that is what I wanted to know. I guess I'll just cut mine off and worry about another filler neck if I ever put a stock tank back in it.
