FYI for those with the Bouchillon Kickdown (Detent, TV) Cable kit...

The cable that comes in this kit is Mopar Part Number 52079204. Bouchillon sells a replacement cable for about $95, but it is also available from any Dodge Dealer for about $75. If you go to a salvage yard, this cable can be found on nearly any 1994-1998 Dodge and Jeep rear-wheel-drive vans, trucks, and SUV's with the 3.9L V6 and V8 engines (AB, AN, BR, XJ, ZJ, ZG, and BE models, according to the dealer).

We accidentally destroyed a nearly brand new cable in the process of overhauling the engine. The end (plastic clip end) that attaches to the carb was crushed. In this case, it may be possible to just replace the end instead of the entire cable. Rock Auto carries this part for about $.69. It is made by ATP, and is part number YR100.

Here's some pics of how it hooks up to a slant with a Weber carb:

I assume that bolting it up to any other 1-bbl or 2-bbl carb will require a custom bracket as well. Luckily, the custom bracket is very simple to make - all of the hard work is done by Bouchillon. I used a vertical band saw, bench grinder, file, and drill press to make mine. I'm sure that one could be made with a vise, sawzall (or jigsaw), drill, file, and either a bench or hand grinder.

Basically, the Bouchillon Throttle Cable Bracket comes in two parts that screw together. One part bolts to the carb base, and the other part actually holds the cables. Just use the part that bolts to the carb base as a template to create a bracket that bolts up to your particular carb.

The Bouchillon Throttle Cable Bracket is made to bolt up directly to practically any 4-bbl carb.
