Post subject:  intake/exhaust manifold bolts

I finally got my stuff together and I am getting my duster/twister back on the road . After checking things out with my trusted friend/mechanic we decied to replace a few little things before we started to tune and get her ready for the streets. After finding a nice crack on exhaust manifold we decided to take it off and repair or fix it. Like most s6 intake/exhaust bolts mine broke when I tried to take them off.I ordered the intake/exhaust manifold gasket kit, a new air filter, valve cover gasket, replacing cracked PCV valve, my wires and plugs have seen very lil use but replaced a 5+ plus years ago. So here is my question were is best place to buy thes exhaust manifold bolts bolts I found some 3/8 at oriellys and that was about it. Any part #'s would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure of what you need to know the manifold to head studs are 5/16 by about 2". The manifolds are held together by a 3/8" stud and two 5/16 bolts threaded into the exhaust manifold.

I know I am in australia but they ship overseas.

www.valiantspares.com.au
www.pentastarparts.com.au/sunshop

think for a full set of studs and nuts for manifolds is around $50 AUD

You will find bolts and nuts (and new ex. manifold also) at silver-seal.com.

You should also take a look at this link:
Good-sealing intake-to-exhaust gaskets FINALLY available.

Also check out the info in the FAQ at the start of the engine section.

Look for Charrlie_S on this site. He has a New Exhaust manifold with hardware for sale(great price) and would be much better than trying to repair your cracked one. Unless you have some one that is very good chances are that the repair will not hold up. Mine didn't.
Looks like a clean Duster. I seldom see Twisters any more that have the factory stripes still on them.
