hoping ya'll can help me figure out my vacuum routing... 83 dodge d150, carter bbd. Just finished hei conversion (so new ignition module, coil, distributor, etc...) Labeling these ports as according to the 83 service manual... here's what I got on the carb "distributor osac valve or esa transducer" this is going straight to distributor right now. "bowl vent" to charcoal canister "to egr vacuum amplifier" currently capped "to crankcase pcv valve" to pcv "to air cleaner heated inlet air system" - currently capped so, cvscc valve, egr control and large disc near rear of valve cover is disconnected. been doing a lot of searching, seems like maybe I should connect the cvscc back up, but not so sure on egr or charcoal canister, or vacuum disc. charcoal canister control port (small port on end) disconnected. I don't think I need to worry much about emissions (in Louisiana), so for now I'd just like to get things routed to allow carb/vacuum to function properly.....what do I need to do? thanks in advance ![]() |

If you have disabled all the emissions systems, you do not need to hook up the "CVSCC" line, but you should leave the charcoal canister and heated air intake lines hooked up. Both are beneficial and neither are detrimental to the way the engine runs. Both will save you gas and increase performance.
