There were some slant 6 727's made for trucks and vans, but they are getting rare. I'm not aware of any adapters but others might know.

I think there was some kind of adaptor used in the A-100 vans, but my memory about that is fuzzy at best...[/quote]

Yes an adapter was used in '68-older trucks and vans. A company called AR engineering made 10 out of aluminum, before stopping production. These can be used to put a OD auto trans on a S/6 engine, otherwise, just find a S/6 727. Do a search on "727 adapter" for more info.

The factory used the adapters until around 1970. There is only 1 style plate, but 2 sizes of crank spacer for the flexplate. Spacers come in large crank pattern ('68 and later) and small ('67 and earlier).

They show up on here for sale once in awhile, and also turn up at swapmeets now and then. :D

My '66 parts manual also shows them used in cars with the taxi and police packages.

Thanks guys for info. New to the slant six world and the more I learn about these engines the more I love them. HUGE Mopar fan anyway.

Hey Bear
Any reason you want the 727? A 904 will live just fine behind almost ANY Slant (even our race only engines). And the 904 doesnt hog up a lot of power like the 727.
