Got my car down to 2355 lbs with driver.I am now concentrating on getting rotating weight down, lighter wheels, brakes. Will have to run 6 more gallons of gas to stay in my weight class.I useally run with 2 gallons in tank, will bee running 8 when I try to lower my B gas record.Wheels I just ordered are extreamly light.Do the math and you can figure out how much rotating weight I am takeing off.Aluminum driveshaft only took off 3.5 lbs.I also shaved 5 grams off each of my nuts.Nice part about adding fuel is that its at the very rear of the car.Guzzi Mark |

When I worked at the race car shop I was entrusted the job of ordering titanium fasteners for the NPS Camaro project. $1500 worth of Ti bolts saved just about 4 pounds off the car. It will be interesting to see if the wheels reduce ET any. I have never seen a drag car actually lose ET from a set of wheels. Show me the way Mark. |

From what I have read,,takeing 1 pound of rotating weight off equals 4 pounds of static weight off car.So in theory by takeing 40 lbs of rotating weight off my car its like takeing 160 lbs out of the car.I am hopeing for a 10th off et.with just the rotating weight change.Testing of this and the Hurricain manifold will bee done seperately. We will see.Guzzi Mark |

I have dropped time (up to 0.1 sec) on more than one car by back-back wheel swaps/runs at the track. Recently, I replaced the 47 lb road course wheels/tires on Project V with 31 lb drag skinnies, and that netted about 0.1 sec. Lou |

That might work for a hairy guy like Sandy... Not sure about Mark. For the European Swim Championships one year my boys all shaved their heads for better "aguadynamics"... That's a few grams of weight for sure! |

Sell off a kidney? I had the opportunity to help with a factory hemi Dart drag car. Rick Allison traded a Pro Stock Plymouth Arrow for the car. It was interesting to see the super thin side glass and the acid dipped bumpers etc. When we started to work on the car we discovered every damn bolt, nut & what have you, was titanium. Pulling off the trunk lid was quite an adventure - we nearly got hernias... Some one had doctored it up but good! |

So mark, I know you are adding Fuel and bumper for the B and C record.. Do you use one of the ALuminum Pigs for the 8 3/4? I know they are a bit pricey, but they are maube 15-20#'s lighter than the cast FE ones.. and It might help you to get closer for the A weight. Greg |
