I have an 85 dodge van with a stock 225 slant 6.. when running is good but at idle will stall periodically.. at the same time, lights (interior and exterior) heater blower motor, windshield wipers etc will also slow down or dim.. when electrical is strong motor doesn't stall at idle and accessories run strong but when it 'changes' accessories will slow and the motor will stall at idle.. this accessory 'slowing' will happen randomly at idle or at driving speed but does not seem to affect to engine much except at idle speed..

stalling is weak running followed by a few misses then a stall.. currently I'm putting van in neutral at stoplight etc. because this lessens the chance of stalling but not always.. sometimes have to give a little gas too..

could this be voltage regulator, alternator, or maybe a poor wiring connection? something else?

motor has new battery, battery cables, alternator belt, coil, distributor cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, fuel, air, oil filters. etc and otherwise runs well and strong..

Could be voltage regulator or alternator.

Does your van have a lean-burn computer controlled ignition or carburetor? That could very well be the culprit.
