Well Had gotten one of these "free" DVD's in the mail from hotrod magazine... It's free if you send it back.

Anyway they had sent me one of these before - I had already watched it..already last time, But I decided to pop it in the player and Watch the bonus material for some reason.. and there are about 5 Shots of Seymour and His white Valiant Driver / Racer Slant 6 car.

It was fun to watch!

Seymour definitely proved he's one tough old coot that year. He was at Monster Mopar before, and then left for KC and I don't think it was below 85 the whole week. He had his daughter with him too.

I was there to watch Seymour that year. His daughter was 7 or 8 months pregnant and rode all the way with him. What a trouper. Great people.

Yep I second that! I neve have Met his daughter but She must be a good hearted soul to do the trip for a week in the white car - not to mention getting there and back from the twin cities area!

Thanks for digging this up, it's fun to reminisce. It must have really been 2005 when they had the first drag week because Darcy who Robin was carrying then was 5 in November. Later that fall Robin rode with me when we went out to Redding to do the race there. On the way back from California I was having some trouble shifting but that didn't stop me from taking it to Farmington the next Spring. I was really having shifting problems there so when I got home I pulled that motor out. The head had broken off one flywheel bolt and several more were loose. That was keeping the clutch from releasing cleanly. I also found that I had swithched the #2 and #3 main caps! Unbelivably the upper thrust bearing fit on the #2 journal okay and it really didin't seem to have hurt anything.
