Hi. I got a carb w/ a complete Super-Six set-up and I'd like to identify this carb to get the rebuild kit for it. It is a Holley 2bbl, a sticker on the side of the carb close to the word Holley reads 4287 053.
Underneath the carb are the digits: 6R 5601 B

Year? ID help? Is this a correct carb for the super-six intake?
Thanks

The only Holley two barrel that bolts directly to the Super Six intake is a Holley 2280.

so is mine a 4287? a 5601? Where would I find that info to see if it is a 2280?

Hi Matt.
If you take a look at the Frequently Asked Questions in the engine section, you will find Carburetor operation & repair information, and an link to a Chrysler training movie on the 2280. (you should take a look at the other links in the FAQ also, an awsome amount of info in one place!)

Here is also a link to an exploded view of the 2280 from the carburetorfactory.com.

Here is a carb identification overview from Walker, they also have detailed parts lists.

Olaf.

Neither 4287 nor 5601 is a valid list number for a Holley 2280. 4287 023 comes up as a Carter BBD for a 318, but not a Holley 2280.

If you have a Holley carb that bolts to a Super Six intake, then it can only be a Holley 2280 and the correct rebuild kit for your carb is sold HERE.

4287 053 = Chrysler P/N for Holley 2280 carburetor originally intended for 1984 Dodge truck with 318 engine.

awesome. Thanks. The guy who sold me the set-up says he has no idea what it came off of or if the carb was original w/ the 2bbl intake, so I was hoping it would fit. The carb's definately hurting though; I broke a screw trying to take off the top plate. I think I might do better just to find a rebuilt one. Are they rare?

"Rebuilt" carbs are mostly junk. See info linked from thread where carburetor operation and repair manuals and links to training movies and carb repair/modification threads are posted.
