Hi,

I'm going to rebuild a slant six for my '79 Aspen this year. The project is probably starting in the summer after I've finished my current build, a 70s German Ford Taunus engine.

Before I start banging away on the slant, it would be nice to get a comprehensive view of the rebuild process. Can you recommend a good manual in English that would be available widely at, say, Amazon or such place that details the slant six build? The manual should include engine choosing, disassembly, measurements, part rebuilds and assembly. The works!

There is, FOPAR's evil twin has just surfaced.

God no, there's not a Ford engine in my Mopar!

The Ford is just a "Sunday project" I've been working on. It's mounted on a stand and my Dodge is still running on its original, 30+ year-old Slant. What I meant with "getting the Ford out of the way and the six in" was that I need to free up space in the garage by selling the Ford when I finish it.

Anything is possible; FOPAR has a slant in his 53 Ford...
Confuse at a lower latitude.
