If I was to get a super six setup what carb would be best for the cheapest price? And which carb would bolt up good with the stock super six kickdown and linkage? |

You will want to read THIS first. I think you will find the answers you seek. If not, the board search function will net you thousands of results on the topic of super sixing your car. If you still can't find what you are looking for, we would be happy to point you in the right direction. You will be looking at a Carter BBD, or a Holley 2280 for stock units, though many many people have used non-stock units on stock manifolds with success. Those 2 will bolt directly to the manifold, and to linkage so long as you have the correct linkage. ![]() ~RDE~ |

Is anyone able to verify if this is new or remanufactured?

May be a dumb question but does the 2280 have the thermostatic choke like the BBD? I have a remanufactured BBD on my super six but feel it either needs to be re-built or replaced. |

Not quite sure what you're asking. There is no thermostat on the 2280. It has a bracket on the choke shaft, to which you attach the linkage running up from your choke thermostat. |

Excuse my ignorance, I really don't know a ton about carbs but I thought I read somewhere the BBD has a "thermostatic" style choke that operates based on manifold temp...although there isn't a thermostat (that I can see) running from the manifold to the carb. |
