If you are running the stock Super Six choke "spring", make sure the replacement manifold has a choke pocket with no rear wall.

Hi all, I have a Super Six engine with a leaking exhaust manifold. Will any slant six exhaust manifold fit, or does it have to be a specific "Super Six" exhaust manifold? Thanks in advance for the help. Eddie D. |

Yes any /6 exhaust manifold should fit, and no it does not have to be specific to the super six. Only differences I am aware of on exhuast manifolds are 2 or 3 different choke pocket designs if you are still running factory electric choke (not sure about interchangeability). Second difference is that some very late model manifolds 87' possibly a few years prior had a O2 sensor port on the firewall side where manifold set meets. Either way, any exhaust manifold will "bolt up" to your super six intake as long as it hasn't suffered any warping. |
