Getting ready to put a 1980 Slant with a 1985 904 trans in a 1966 Barracuda, other than carb linkage, oil pan needing swapped and exhaust will everything else line up?

Yes, they will bolt right in. The later manifolds are fine. If you use the original style carb then the original throttle linkage will work. If you have the original throttle pressure linkage to the transmission including the lever on the trans you'll want to use it. Those levers came in different lengths and have different angles or clock positions. If you're going to use a cable throttle and carburetor then it's more complicated.

Original carb is toast, but would like to keep the original type linkage if possible. I will have to do some looking and see if there is a way to adapt the linkage to the newer carb. I am glad to hear that everything will slide in. I have had the car almost a year and today I actually got some work done on it and the motor currently in it, is all ready to come out.

The newer carb may be a pain to work with. If you want to use the original linkage it will be easiest to use the early carburetor. If you have trouble finding one I have a Carter BBS on my '66 Barracuda which will be available once the race engine is installed.

Well without finding a replacement carb. the one I have can not be used, it has pieces that are broken off and it is froze open, which that isn't all too big of a deal, but pieces broke off is.
