Ok, well motor is built and and its starting to look really nice, cant wait to start it! Well I guess its time for the ignition. What is the best set up for my application? I currently have the stock points dissy and a mopar performace elec dissy.

High lift cam, long rod, 10.1 static comp, port and polished head, double valve springs. Dont know if any other info is required to choose the right equipment.

Also spark plugs brands? Gap? Should I stay at .035 standard?

I have a rule. Run the engine in on what was working. If that was the points distributor, then use that. Introducing unknowns at start up can be an issue.

Look into the HEI upgrade using your electronic distributor. Research, and install the right coil for the ignition.
Drool tube head still? NGK ZFR6FIX-11. Should work slick. Think in terms of a cooler plug.
Do not adjust the gap of Iridium plugs. For others, open the gap up to 40 or 42. Wider will put more load on the ignition system.

Dan is right, the HEI upgrade is great and I have one installed on my daughters 72 Valiant which is a stock 1 bbl 225.The factory Electronic ignition is also good and I have that installed on my wifes 63 Valiant and it gives no trouble at all.
Now for my suggestion considering that you obviously have a high performance engine is a MSD 6A OR 6AL.I have 3 vehicles currently using 6a ignitions and one is my daily driver and one is a 60 Valiant with a Hyper-pak setup and the other is a stone stock 60 Valiant.I have used Msd ignitions for years and have had ZERO problems, they are easy to hook up,relatively inexpensive, have good factory support, and lots of add ons if desired.
As far as the plugs go the NGK ZFR5N are the best plugs that I have ever run in a slant but may try the plugs that Ceej suggested.Hope this helps.
