Hello Amigos,
I recently was driving my car when I came to a stop and try to park teh car, there was some evil noise in the driver front wheel....I parked the car in the garage removed the tire, and the DUST cap from the bearing.

I found the bearring cage broken, and the bearring missing 2 rollers on it!!

Very scarry, so I try to remove the drum after removing the lock nut...the drum/bearing wont come off!!

normally this comes off when you remove the nut, but in this case... I don't know if that is a special bearring that was pressed in or it got to hot and got tider to the spindle shaft.

today I'll go and rent/buy a flange hub remover,,hope that work.

any sugestions on this.

thanks.

Your brake shoes are most likely tight and holding the drum.

Back off the shoes, and the drum should pull off.

Next problem may be the bearing has fetched up from excess heat when it failed. You will need to use force to separated bearing from race.

Thanks, I got it off with a flange remover.

I loosed the breaks before I try last time.

So, it was hte stupid Bearring that got tight as it was turning loosse, I remember driving the car at ~ 80 miles per hour on the hig way for about 100 miles after I hear the noise first time.....so that I was so lucky that the wheel didn't came off as I was driving!!

All I need now is to get the bearring, and grease seals, the break shoes look fine, like 1/2 way life,,the Drums ,,,I don't know,,but they look really thin,,I may have to buy new ones ( and then may be new shoes)but not a problem I'll get my baby Dodge back on the Road by the begining of the week.

thanks.

thanks.
