Bear with me, as electrical is not my strong point... Am I way off base in thinking I can rewire the driver side fender mounted turn signal to match the wiring on the passenger side, in order to remove my non-op. fuel pacer switch?

On non-fuel pacer cars it just jumpers to the harness that lights the same side front/grille signal...(have this set up on my '76 Duster).

Sweet, thanks. I just remembered reading on here before that it was tricky to remove, so I wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking something.
One less unnecessary do-dad and potential vacuum leak in my engine compartment soon...

What's a fuel pacer? Some kind of vacuum switch that turns on a light with low vaccum?

It was a system that Chrysler had started near the end of the A-body run, and about the time Cat.Convertors were becoming standard. It has a manifold vacc. switch that will light the driver's side fender top turn signal if the vacc. reading is about 5-6" or less. It was determined if you were in this range your throttle plates are open too much and you are not "conserving fuel"...(Anyone in a mountainous area learned to hate the thing...).

Good write up! I think I like the improvement much better...too bad none of my '76's came with this option and no longer had the EGR timer either....Rats!
