What year car do you have? One would be better served by purchasing a NEW turn signal switch. If the cam is lose, it is a sure bet the rest of the switch is worn out as well. If you can’t locate any throttle pressure (kick-down) linkage, than one of several cable conversions can be fitted such as this one which is a dead ringer for a cable out of a late 80’s or early 90’s Dakota. Depending on which carburetor you have you may have to install a bolt on cam to the throttle plate lever to achieve the proper cable travel. |

This is a 1977 Dodge Van, and I can't seem to find the whole unit, just the cam (red circle). Also, its without tilt on the steering colum. It got a carter 2bbl carb, with a 727 transmission. |

When I last replaced a cam like that, I removed the switch from the column and then removed the rivet/axle, and replaced it with a screw - I forget exactly how. I remember that it wasn't hard with the switch on my workbench. |
