I see that Speedway offers a variety of Chrysler leaf springs in the A-body length, but was wondering if anyone had used them in a street or street/strip application. There are multi-leaf and mono-leaf ones in a variety of rates. Here is a link: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Circle-Tr ... rings.html |

The guy that bought my '66 Dart used some Afco 'Chrysler' springs. Moved the rear axle 1/2" rearward and he had to make a sleeve for the front spring eye as it was larger than the late A-body springs. The car originally had even smaller front spring eyes. He also had them dearched 2" and an extra 1/2 leaf added to control axle wind-up. |

I am looking at those myself, as the '64 Dart needs new springs after leafs having 20 yrs of wear and rust on 2 different cars. Josh is speaking of the "stiffer front segment" springs at 166#/in. That is a stiff spring for a street car. Lou |
