I was wondering if I would have any problems with 225/60/15 all round on a 79 Aspen automatic with a 2.76 rear ratio? |

I ran this exact size on my Volare using 15x7" police car wheels. They fit and worked much better than the 205/75R14s that were on the car. |

No, because the OD was actually 1/2" smaller with the 225/60R15s. You really need a 7" wide wheel for this size tire. You can squeeze them on a 6" wheel, but they squirm around more and don't grip as well. |

Have you or anyone else had any dealings with Specialty Wheels? Hub centric vs Lug centric - is this still an issue with their wheels? Have you had any experience with adapter rings? Thanks. |

I have no experience with Specialty Wheels. I used OE Dodge wheels so they fit perfectly and were hub centric. Adapter rings are fine. If the wheel is properly torqued you aren't going to be loading the adapter ring at all. You can also get 15x7" wheels off Chrysler 5th Avenues. See if you can find those or the cop car wheels first. Many aftermarket wheels don't have the correct offset/backspacing for our cars. On a 7" wide wheel you should have 4 1/4" backspacing which is +1/4" (+6mm) offset. |

Joshua, thanks for all your info, it is greatly appreciated. I guess, I never thought much about it while in the process - but does each wheels lug nuts turn in a different direction? |

If the wheels you are considering are reproduction Chrysler Rallye wheels chromed they should fit fine. Are these the wheels you're after? http://www.specialtywheel.com/wheel-sho ... ttern.html All your lug nuts are right-hand thread which means clockwise to tighten. |

Yes, but in chrome. I just heard that they are not hub centric - and that made me very concerned. Thanks for your help, you are quite the fountain of information. |

The Rallye wheels should be hub centric, the Magnum 500 wheels are not. |

I asked if the rims are hub centric and he said that they are Lug Centric, because they are two piece wheels. If the rims do not have any back spacing, would this be a problem? |

Has anyone run front 225/60_15 and 245/60/15 on the back? 79 Aspen /6 auto and a 2.76 rear If so, were there any issues with breaking or lack of performance with the wider tire? Thanks. |
