I am new to the Slant sixes and I just bought this car, since it is not running yet (been sitting up for 8 years...... barn find) what kind of highway speeds can I expect out of it?? and what kind of fuel economy?? Thanks, I am excited about the car and especially the Slant Six, have always wanted one, now what do I do with it? Stan |

Sure, start on top of a big hill…Welcome aboard Stan, wagons aren’t all that common anymore hopefully you can post a photo of your barn find. There are a few fellow MPG fans on the board, I’m not one of them, but aggressive ted is. Play with the search function to see how others have built their engines & drive train for good mileage & power. |

Welcome on the board. Tune-up parts and technique suggestions in this thread. Carburetor operation and repair manuals and links to training movies and carb repair/modification threads are posted here for free download. Very valuable to have the factory service manual. And keep in mind the engine will need periodic valve adjustment. |
