I got a doozy here
I have a 73 swinger with the original 4" bolt pattern on the rear and an upgraded disk brake 4.5" bolt pattern on the front.
I want to put some nice wheels on it but the bolt pattern is screwing with me.
I bought some adapters for the rear wheels that change the bolt pattern to a 4.5", but they also add about an inch and a half to the hub.
Any ideas would be appreciated

You could redrill the rear axle flange and drum, for the 4 1/2 pattern, or you could change the complete rear for the rear from a factory disc brake "A" body car. These had the larger bolt pattern. It is NOT possible to swap large bolt pattern axles, into a SBP axle housing.

Change the complete axle housing, the larger 10" drum brakes are worth it & will balance the disks better.

Having 2 different sized spares stinks (been there, done that) , & wheel adapters in general are pretty scary.
