Woah? I thought no drive train and no fan would make a difference of maybe 20hp? but not that much...? |

210hp is not a slant six, it's a 318 4bbl motor. The 195hp is probably a 318 2bbl and the 190hp may be the same, or it's a 273 4 bbl. There are 2 slant sixes in that ad, the 119hp and the 145hp. My guess the 119 is a 1 bbl, the 145 a 2bbl. Some slant six 2 bbl Marine motors were 150hp. The 110hp is a 4cyl Volvo motor. There is a powertrain, that's what turns the prop. While no fan, the marine waterpump takes more power to turn than an automotive wp. If there's a difference in power, it would be negative. Chrysler Marine motors lost power compared to automotive due to the poor flowing exhaust manifolds and retarded ignition timing. Automotive 225-2 - 155hp Marine 225-2 - 145/150hp Automotive non-Magnum 440 - 350hp Marine non-Magnum 440 - 330hp |

To add to the confusion, I seem to remember that at least one 318 marine engine setup was referred to as the 225S. Olaf. |
