I know for awhile I was wondering how to make this work and I am sure there are others. The super six article doesn't tell you how to use it with the old linkage. How I made it work was to make a bracket to bolt down using the top starter bolt and it holds the rod to keep it from moving around but allows it to turn inside of it. Then attached a cable with a clamp down near the bottom of the rod going down to actuate the trans kickdown. When the kickdown is all the way back and the pedal is all the way down the carb is at about 95 percent wide open with my current setup I need to fine tune it. Here are some pictures.
It's not real pretty but its functional and cheap.

with that rod lined up the way it is did you have to re-adjust the kickdown, it seems that the spring is pulling the rod farther around the circle that it travels than where it normally sits when hooked up to my 1 barrel. I am pending throwing the super six on my car as well.
