New to board and have been lurking around for awhile, but this car:

is why I am here. True story to car, has been in a garage sense '03 due to master cyl. failure, owner of car moved left car. Long story short car was destined for the impound and eventual crush. My oldest son called me on fone and ask if I wanted so and so's car, if so come get it cause he doesnt want it. Short end ran over with my trailer, wenched it on, got it back to my place, dribbled a lil gas in carb, hit key switch, turned 2 rounds and fired right up, drove it off trailer. Cleaned, scrubbed washed, change MC bled brakes, drove to
a local smallish car show (50-60 cars entered), won first place in '70's car class. (damn tough class, no barn find un-restored mopar class  ) PPL couldnt believe it was a garage find. Will post some more pics or link to my photobucket account. Wanting to go back to true org, 904 in place of standard trans. So needing a few parts. (reason i know car was a manual, 1: clutch pedal was under floormat, 2: Pinto (Ford) style auto floor shifter, 3: Floor shift hump.)

Welcome to the forum!
Nice find, but it must nevertheless have been quite a a chock to win first price! My congratulations!
I really like the F-bodies, mine is a '77 Aspen Wagon. Do yourself a favour and get the manuals for your car.
I have seen that they are available from Rockauto (and others), you can get both CD or printed manuals, the printed has a steep price, but is worth it, follow this link.

BTW, the 904 is the automatic transmission...

Olaf.

Plenty old farts here...

Thanks Olaf, what I was saying is it has the 904, instead of the manual transmission.

Haha, sorry, I read the comma after org as a point, and suddenly the sentence got a new meaning!

Interesting. Any chance that car came down from Seattle? I was at a Slant Sic CLub of America show about ten years ago and saw a Volare with almost that exact paint scheme.

beautiful colored F-body,
Thanks!!! I am normally not a fan of yellow cars, or two tone yellow cars, but I wouldn't change it for anything, as it has 'grown' on me, and do plan on fixing the few trouble spots and repainting it the same.
