Hey, just throwing this out there and hoping someone has played with them.

Mdrivervr side mirror is fried the glass is all a smokey brown as the silver lining on the back has peeled away almost 1/2 way up the mirror.

Something like this:

It's 4' in diameter anyways and I am in hard debate on if I just want to purchase a set of long neck, 4' diameter peep mirrors that clamp on the door/ gutter for both sides. There price is hard to agrue with but I would like to hear war stories first.

Has anyone played with this style of mirror before, I use to only having one side mirror but it be nice tfinishsh the look with two.

The way that the laws are in Manitoba, Canada I need to have two working mirrors. I haven't been stoped yet about the side mirror but I really don't want to.

Thanks.

Any glass shop should be able to remove old mirror and replace it. Mirrored glass comes in many shapes and sizes.(including round)

I've looked at the slip ring that holds the glass in, It would be fun messing around to get it out and not damaging the glass to make a copy.

Hey, Thanks for the thought Reed but their not quite the look I'm going for.
Thanks though

I use the short Peeps with the sharper bends in'em (see "photos link" in my signature, then the El Toad album), never have cared for the factory style.

I only had to tap the sheet metal on the back side of the door lip a bit flatter below the clamps to get'em to stay in position, it curved inward too soon originally. Been running'em for several years with no other problems.
