You know I thought it was funny that Rock Auto has .080 over pistons in the menu...but the OS rings only go up to .060... Good question to ask.... -D.Idiot |

You may be able to determine a part number for the .080 from the .060, then look for the .080 rings......... |

The only engine I have found that runs that size bore is some of the Harley Davidson bikes. I have no idea what ring package they run though. I am guessing you all ready have your pistons. If not I would go a different route. Jess |

Standard size is 3.40 2 compression rings of 5/64 1 oil ring of 3/16 Oversizes would be 3.42 3.43 3.44 and 3.46 You need to find a piston that uses 2 5/64 rings and 1 3/16 that comes standard at 3.48 bore or can get there with oversizes...... |

I just confirmed that the Harley Davidson piston are the same ring thickness as the slant six. Its one of the older HD's that have the 3.480 bore as a over bore ( I think it was the pan or KNuckle). This shoudl get you a set if you look close at the specs. BTW I bet some of the Ozzy guys can come up with a set also. Jess |

GM had a 4 cyl (140cuin) at 3.50 73-77 GM 8 cyl at 3.50 (267cuin) 79-81 Olds 8 cyl at 3.50 (260cuin) 79-81 with the 5/64 and 3/16 rings. You could probably file fit these if you had to. |

The Harley pistons are listed as 3 7/16 = 3.4375 some listings say 3.438 Then lots of oversizes .010 - .070 (.010 step) I'd use .050 and file fit. Note: I haven't found the ring thicknesses for the HD rings.... |

Doesn't look like the Harley rings are the correct thickness: http://www.hastingsmfg.com/RingFinderMa ... Y-DAVIDSON |
