I, at first, believed this to be the orig motor. The guy selling it to me seemed honest, told me so. Well after reading more about the /6, I realized it has 5 freeze plugs. It can't be a 63 motor, it has only 3 freeze plugs...if my memory serves me correctly. Can you all help me figure out approx year and if this would be a solid lifter or hyd lifter. The gasket at the local shop is out of stock and is being ordered as I type. the block number under the intake/exh manifolds is 2806830-8. Thanks guys. Andy[/img] |

Read This article for block ID. Head has a boss stamped just behind the alternator for ID. Likely will have to clean it to see the numbers. |
