is there a stock replacement for bigger valaves in some type of cars that will go into a 225 head 1974 model. i have heard about some of you using ford valves.

i dont really want to order valves because my machinest gets deal if i can get a stocker replacer.

I believe 302 ford valves should be the same length (or nearly), but you'll have to have the valve guides replaced w/ 11/32 guides instead of 3/8. Not a big deal if you're having them done anyway. I think there are also some SB Chevy valves that will fit. (again 11/32) Just keep in mind that stock sizes for /6 are 1.36 and 1.62. Looking at it, you should have around .10 to .15 to play with on each.
