Need the location to install the sender for the idiot light. I looked at the pump area and the only thing there is the cap for the spring.
Anyone have a picture of the possible locations? It looks like a 1/4 MPT acess is needed for the sender.
It is a new engine and the installer did not replace it.

The sender gets threaded into the rear of the oil pump, just aft of and below the filter mounting pad. You will find a threaded port there, with or without a pipe plug in it.

Thanks Dan!

There IS a plug there, but, it looks like it is larger than the sendor 1/4 mpt. Or, at lease the head of ot is about a 3/4".

The sender should be 3/8" MPT. IIRC.

There have been at least two different sizes of oil pressure sender threads -- 1/8" NPT and 3/8" NPT -- but the oil pump threads (female) are all the same. Reducer bushings were used in some years to adapt the smaller-thread senders. No idea why Chrysler would needlessly increase parts count like this; all I can imagine is that they got such a screamin' deal on smaller-thread senders that they could add the reducer bushing and still see a savings. More detail here , and remember that the nominal sizes of NPT make them sound a lot smaller than they actually are.
