Hi Folks, I have a mallory dual point distributor that has the unilite electronic ignition conversion installed in it. I would like to install it in my car but just want to verify a couple things before I start cutting wires! Please let me say first I am an electronic moron! enough said!! I know you all can help. This set-up is all contained within the distributor and only has 3 wires. Red wire - To positive side of coil / ( I'm assuming I still need the the wire coming from the ballast resistor to the + side as well ?? ) Green Wire- To negative side of coil Black - To a good ground Is this all I need to hook up? Of course I'm planning on a new high performance coil to go along with this. Is anyone else using this setup? Any problems? |

If you have any questions at all, I'd check with Mallory themselves. Those unilite parts are too expensive to gamble with! |

I agree with Bud. I'm sure Mallory must has an application note for the installation. If you take someone's advice on this it would be a gamble. |
