Rockauto had a 50% close-out ($39) on a SL6 gasket set listed to fit my '65 225cid, to wit:

VICTOR REINZ Part # FS1162VE
OE Number F82954
OEManufacturer Case
OE Number AE29639
OEManufacturer JOHN DEERE

Is this a quality set?

That's a fine gasket set. Used to be what Napa carried.

Composite in that set.

Could use one, myself. Not seeing the closeout price on RockAuto, got a link? Or did you snag the last one?

I think I got the last one on the gasket kit. They send me emails on closeouts when they come up for my particular make and model (ex: for a '72 Dart: http://www.rockauto.com/RSS/vehiclefeed ... &html=true

They must buy old inventories at times, because last year I bought some closeout front brake rotors/hardware for a '75 Dart from them that looked vintage, with lots of grime on the packaging.

5% discount code still works on these closeout items.

I just bought a bunch of VC gaskets, TC cover gaskets, int/exh gaskets, 11/16" tie rods, and a few other closeout items for pretty cheap from Rockauto. If I buy something for a particular car, they occasionally send an email with items for that car on closeout.

I was going to buy a couple of their clearance brake self adjusters until I noticed they were coming from two warehouses with two separate $9.95 shipping charges.
