Was breaking in my cam on a complete rebuild, and shut down after 5 minutes because of oil frothing in the radiator coolant. The dipstick in the oil pan shows perfectly fresh oil without any bubbles.

It's an auto car. The radiator was pressure tested and cleaned last month, but is there any chance it could hold pressure but still leak oil inside from the tranny cooler section?

I plan on re-torquing the head bolts, flushing/replacing coolant, and capping the tranny cooler lines this weekend and giving it another test before replacing the headgasket.

Does this sound like a good route to take and any suggestions?

Check the transmission for water in the fluid, if it does have water in it, get rid of the fluid and put on an aftermarket trans fluid cooler.
