So I got my new clutch and was wondering about the scalloped holes in the pressure plate. They kinda look like they are "torn" at the back. Should I be worried? I don't want to modify a new part but... Pics are here This is a 10" Ram clutches powergrip and the part number is 98729 |

I'm not so concerned about the 'pressed' notching on the tabs...as much as I see a 10"Borg and Beck pressure plate, that is known to frag using the stock disc, mated with a puck clutch.... You got a scattershield or tranny blanket in case the disc loads the pressure plate and the plate decides to come apart? -D.Idiot |

ugh!!!! now you tell me Well I didn't know it was a puck style until I opened the box, maybe I'll try it with a stock replacment fiber disc. The B&B plate has bigger springs than the old plate |

It's not like we hid this info from you. We've discussed clutches a lot. Greg Ondayko blew up a stock 10" in his Dart. http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic ... 07&start=8 |

Ok I did see that post, but I thought it was from over-reving... This thing will be lucky if it sees 4200 let alone 6200 RPM... I'm guessing a stocker would have been ok to use, but this one should hold the turbo just fine, and I didn't want to do it twice... |
