Howdy,

So far in my searching I've turned up no mention of whether the carrier bearings in the two smaller sizes of 7 1/4" rears (that use the 4" lug pattern) are the same or different sizes.

I finally got the time to put a "medium axle bearing" rear in Toad (butchering the new backing plates slightly to adapt to my preferred earlier brake hardware), and found the axle bearing noise (I'd hoped it was) is actually a noisy carrier bearing as the previous owner had suspected. I've stocked no carrier bearings as yet, but do have a couple "small" rears laying around with good ones.

Prior to taking'er off the road to open'er up it'd be helpful to know if they'll swap or if I need to order new ones first. As she's my daily, I prefer to keep down-time to a minimum.
Also what, specifically, do I order if they aren't the same?
I doubt my '62 book covers much later stuff for some reason.
